Swallowfield announces a strong set of 2017 final results

Swallowfield plc, a market leader beauty and cosmetic manufacturer, is pleased to announce a strong set of final results with revenue growth of 36% to £74.3m (from £54.5m last year). Significant improvements in business performance and strong momentum in their branded business has meant end of year underlying operating profits increased by 180% year on year to £5.6m from £2.0m.

Manufacturing business at Swallowfield has performed well and continues to support their customer base with the innovation, quality and service required, enabling them to continue to grow sales and produce a steady flow of new product development to win new contracts, impacting positively on the year ahead.

The Brand Architekts acquisition has now successfully integrated creating a strong and broad brand portfolio. 78 new lines were launched in the course of the financial year across 11 different brands. The Real Shaving Co. has grown strongly due to a good performance of a new gift range and also strong digital marketing activity linked to the sponsorship of Somerset T20 cricket. The Bagsy Savannah Miller collection was launched in the year and helped find new distribution opportunities for the brand.
