The Real Shaving Company is a world renowned brand at the forefront of male grooming, offering superior barbershop shave and skincare since 1953.

The Brief

Traditionally well known for their shaving and skincare formulations in tubes, it was identified through research that an aerosol format is the preferred delivery method for 80% of men due to ease of use. The aerosols needed to fit the premium brand image and the formulations had to be well received by even the most discerning consumers.

The solution

Swallowfield manufactured two aerosols which are quickly delivered and ready to lather into a moisturising, Swallowfield manufactured aerosol shave gelsprotective barrier for men who want a smooth shave.  The formulations were developed by our skilled chemists and tested by a consumer panel.

Both gels provide a protective barrier for ultimate razor glide and precision shaving to prevent drag, bumps, nicks and razor burn.

Sensitive Shave Gel contains Aloe Leaf Juice and Cocoa Seed Butter to soothe sensitive skin, whilst Moisturising Shave Gel contains Seaweed Extract and Aloe Leaf Juice to help soothe and moisturise the driest of skin, leaving skin feeling smooth, healthy and nourished.


Having successfully launched into Waitrose in October 2015, The Real Shaving Co. Sensitive Shave Gel has since won ‘Best New Shaving Gel’ in the GQ Grooming Awards 2017.  The product was named the winner in this competitive category by a panel of nine expert judges, including model, Richard Biedul and blogger, Matthew Zorpas.
